Unimaginable, a poem

People say "I can't imagine."
We couldn't either.
We were you once... hearing about someone else's tragedy... hugging our kids a little tighter that night... grateful, quietly, that it wasn't us.
Then one morning we woke up inside it.
No warning. No permission asked. Just... inside it.
We've been living in the unimaginable ever since.
Learning its rooms. Its hours. The way it changes shape but never leaves.
And somehow... we're still here.
Not because we imagined it. Not because we're "strong".
Because we have no choice but to survive it.
